Post Malone's "Gaming For Love" Twitch Charity Event successfully raised over $230,000 across four Apex Legends Live Stream Events. The event brought together gaming enthusiasts and fans of Post Malone to support 4 different non-profits. The collaborative effort showcased the positive influence of leveraging digital-livestreaming platforms for charitable endeavors, demonstrating the potential to drive substantial fundraising results within the gaming community.

The rapper participated in a total of four separate streams of Apex Legends on the platform; each stream’s earnings went to a different charity. Human Rights Watch, Project HOPE, United Way and The Trevor Project were the charities selected to benefit from each charity stream. The stream to benefit The Trevor Project included a 60-person tournament on a private server that raised $76,026.33 in a single evening. Respawn Entertainment — the creators of Apex Legends — contributed $10,000 each for the four streams, for a total $40,000. Esports brand OpTic also donated $10,000.

EXECUTION:


Working with UTA & Post Malone

I worked directly with UTA, Post Malone’s agency, to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Including managing correspondence, and acting as a liaison between UTA and other involved parties. My efforts were focused on maintaining smooth operations and ensuring that all stakeholders were aligned with the campaign's goals and timelines.

Providing Virtual Assistance and Tech Support

One of my key responsibilities was to provide virtual assistance to Post Malone, particularly in the area of tech support. I addressed technical issues he encountered and ensured he had all the necessary tools and resources for effective participation, including providing direct platform moderation and support during all 4 live-streams.

Coordinating with EA and Non-Profits

A significant part of the campaign involved coordinating conversations between Electronic Arts (EA), four non-profit organizations, and UTA. My role was to orchestrate these discussions, ensuring that everyone was on the same page regarding campaign objectives and deliverables, as well as coordinating $40,000 in direct donations from EA to the respective campaigns during the partnership. This required meticulous planning, and following up on action items to keep the campaign on track.

By effectively managing these responsibilities, I played a crucial role in supporting Post Malone and the broader campaign team, contributing significantly to the successful execution of the campaign’s objectives. My dedication and strategic approach ensured that each aspect of the campaign was well-coordinated, ultimately maximizing its impact and reaching the target audience effectively.
